The Edit / Sample Areas menu offers the following commands:
Defines a new sample area. |

Defines a new open-type sample area. |

Complete definition of a new sample area. |

Deletes selected sample areas and the samples they contain. |

Selects/Deselects sample areas. |

Changes the alignment angle for gridded samples. |
|
Changes the alignment angle for gridded samples back to its default setting. |

Breaks a Sample Area into smaller sample areas. |

Adds the Zone parameter used to define class types for MARSSIM. |
Certain sample area parameters can be changed on the Sample Area Information dialog accessed by right-clicking on a sample area.
