Draw Ellipse command (Map menu)

This allows you to draw an ellipse on the map. An ellipse is defined by a bounding rectangle.

Define one corner of the bounding rectangle and then the opposite corner. Holding the Ctrl key limits the ellipse to a circle.

After the ellipse is defined, a sample area is created to fill the ellipse.

You can specify the exact coordinates of the bounding rectangle on the keyboard. To do so, type in the first coordinate (e.g., 0,0 <Enter> ) and then the opposite corner (e.g., 100,40 <Enter> ). You will see what you are typing on the status bar at the bottom of the program. After you enter the second coordinate, the ellipse will be created on the map.

Alternatively, you can specify a circle with an exact radius using the keyboard. Begin by typing in the radius of the circle (e.g. 50 <Enter> ). Next, either click on the map where the center of the circle should be placed or enter the center coordinate on the keyboard (e.g. 100,100 <Enter> ). You will see what you are typing on the status bar at the bottom of the program.
