Draw Line or Polyline command (Map menu)

This allows you to draw a line segment or a series of line segments on the map.

Define each vertex point. Holding the Ctrl key limits the line to a horizontal or vertical line.

There are two ways to finish a polyline:

1. Right-click the mouse on the map.

2. Turn off the Draw Line command (via menu or toolbar).

If the polyline is closed (the first point is the same as the last point) then a sample area is created to fill the polyline.
