Detecting a Hot Spot menu

The Detecting a Hot Spot Approach menu offers the following commands:

Assume no False negative Errors

Places a number of samples on the map using systematic grid sampling for the purpose of locating elevated areas or Hot Spots of contamination.

Account for False Negative Errors

Places a number of samples on the map using systematic grid sampling for the purpose of locating elevated areas or Hot Spots of contamination while accounting for the possibility of false negative errors.

Using existing locations

Augment existing sample locations in order to minimize possible residual Hot Spots.

Using multiple increment sampling

Use composite samples on a rectangular grid to search for areas of elevated concentrations.

Delineate hot spots

Find boundaries of elevated areas and estimate costs of remediation.
