This command allows measurements and samples to be imported from the Federal Radiological Monitoring and Assessment Center (FRMAC) Radiological Assessment and Monitoring System (RAMS) database. Using the VSP Data Exchange capability in RAMS to export event data will produce an XML file formatted for import into VSP.
After selecting the file for import, the following data will be imported for each measurement and sample, if available:
Location (converted from latitude and longitude to selected projected coordinate system)
Label (Measurement or field sample ID)
Date & time taken
Value
Type (alpha, beta or gamma)
Units (e.g., mR/hr)
Field team
A sample area will be created to contain locations if needed. A dialog box confirming the number of samples added to the map will be displayed if import was successful.
