This function adds a user-defined Sample Area parameter with the name "Zone". It is a text list with four values:
Class 1 - areas that have or had a potential for individual measurements above the DCGL. Remediation areas are generally considered Class 1.
Class 2 - areas that have or had a potential for contamination at a significant fraction of the DCGL. Individual measurements should not exceed the DCGL.
Class 3 - areas that have little or no potential for contamination. Individual measurements should not exceed a significant fraction (10-20%) of the DCGL.
Not Impacted - areas that have no potential for contamination. If possible, references areas should be established in non-impacted areas.
This parameter is used to define site class types for the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM).
