MARRSIM Individual Selection

This dialog allows you to enter the DCGLw values for surface soil or building surfaces for any individual radionuclide. After pressing the OK button, the values entered here will be transferred back to the Analyte page.

Appropriate setup of radionuclides is discussed in Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM) (EPA 2000). This document is currently available at: https://www.epa.gov/radiation/multi-agency-radiation-survey-and-site-investigation-manual-marssim

The dialog contains the following controls:

Surface Soil DCGLw

Enter the surface soil DCGLw in pCi/g for any of the individual radionuclides.

NRC Soil checkbox

If present, check this box to automatically set the surface soil DCGLw to the screening value from NRC NUREG 1757, Table H.2. Note: if this box is checked you cannot manually enter the surface soil DCGLw above or check the Surface Soil Surrogate box below.

Soil Surrogate checkbox

Check this box if you want to use this radionuclide as a surrogate for other radionuclides. Note: if this box is checked you cannot manually enter the surface soil DCGLw above.

Building Surface DCGLw

Enter the building surface DCGLw in dpm/100cm2 for any of the individual radionuclides.

NRC Building Surface checkbox

If present, check this box to automatically set the building surface DCGLw to the screening value from NRC NUREG 1757, Table H.1. Note: if this box is checked you cannot manually enter the building surface DCGLw above or check the Building Surface Surrogate box below.

Building Surrogate checkbox

Check this box if you want to use this radionuclide as a surrogate for other radionuclides. Note: if this box is checked you cannot manually enter the building surface DCGLw above.
